Framed Fine Art Prints

Precision giclée printing with archival pigment inks captures fine detail, rich colour and subtle tonal transitions.
Each print is presented in a solid wood Classic frame, available in eight finishes: Black, White, Natural, Brown, Dark Grey, Light Grey, Antique Gold and Antique Silver. The profile measures 20mm across the face and 22mm deep, giving the artwork a clean, understated surround. Acrylic glazing covers the print, with no mount or mat between the image and frame. Hanging hardware is fitted so the piece arrives ready to hang.

Sizing and delivery
US orders use the stated inch print size. UK and EU orders use the stated centimetre print size. Sizes describe the print fitting, not the outer frame. The frame lip covers a narrow edge of the image.

Matted Fine Art Prints
Printed on 200gsm Enhanced Matte Art (EMA) paper, with a smooth matte surface. Fine-art giclée printing with archival pigment inks preserves delicate colour transitions and the character of the artwork.
A separate Snow white mat with a bevelled opening gives the artwork a generous border and space within the frame. It is a physical mat board, not a white border printed on the artwork.
Finished in a solid wood Classic frame with acrylic glazing and supplied ready to hang. Choose from eight frame finishes, with Black as our default.
Sizing and delivery
The selected size describes the glazing area, including the mat. The outer frame is larger. The artwork size is shown separately below the size selector.
US orders use the stated inch dimensions. UK and EU orders use centimetre dimensions. A narrow edge of the print sits beneath the mat. Room scenes are illustrative.

Gallery Canvas
Each canvas is printed on a 333 g/m² cotton-polyester composite with a proprietary coating that produces deep blacks, rich saturation, and accurate tonal transitions. The matte finish absorbs light rather than reflecting it, eliminating glare from windows and overhead lighting so the artwork stays readable from any position in the room.
The inks are HP Latex, UL GREENGUARD GOLD certified. This means the inks meet the same air quality standards required in hospitals, schools, and nurseries. Non-toxic, odor-free, and safe for any room in your home. HP rates them for up to 200 years of fade resistance indoors, away from direct sunlight.
The canvas is gallery-wrapped by hand over a 1.25 inch (3.2 cm) radiata pine stretcher bar sourced from FSC-certified renewable forests. The wood is kiln-dried, knot-free, and warp-free, engineered to hold tension without sagging over time. A sawtooth hanger and rubber bumpers come pre-installed on the back, so the piece is ready to hang the moment it arrives.

Framed Canvas
The floater frame is milled from solid wood with a matte finish that absorbs light instead of bouncing it back. Unlike glossy mouldings that pick up room reflections, the matte finish keeps attention on the artwork.
The frame sits slightly outside the canvas edge, creating a clean 0.5-inch floating reveal. This gap gives the wrapped canvas a suspended, weightless look, the same presentation used in contemporary galleries and museum installations.
Inside the frame, the canvas is the same 333 g/m² cotton-polyester composite printed with HP Latex GREENGUARD GOLD inks, hand-stretched over FSC-certified radiata pine. Every piece ships with hanging hardware pre-installed.

Thomas Cole (1801–1848) was born in Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire, England, and emigrated with his family to the United States at the age of seventeen. He worked first as a wood engraver in Philadelphia and then went to Steubenville, Ohio, where he received rudimentary instruction from an itinerant artist and began painting portraits, genre scenes and a few landscapes; later, in Philadelphia, he was inspired by the paintings he saw at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. In the spring of 1825 he moved to New York City and travelled up the Hudson River to the Catskill Mountains; John Trumbull bought one of the three landscapes he painted from that trip and recommended the other two to his colleagues William Dunlap and Asher B. Durand, and the same year Cole became a founding member of the National Academy of Design. In 1829 he left for Europe and stayed in Italy in 1831–32, visiting Florence, Rome and Naples, and Italian subjects remained part of his work from then on. He later settled in the village of Catskill, New York, returned to Rome in 1841–42, taught the young Frederic Church from 1844 to 1846, and died in February 1848. He is regarded as the painter who inspired the generation of American landscape painters known as the Hudson River School.
Italian Coast Scene with Ruined Tower is an oil on canvas painted in 1838 and signed "T.Cole" at lower right, where the last letter is partly hidden by a painted rock. It measures 86.4 x 116.8 cm (34 x 46 in.). The painting is in the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., which acquired it in 1993 as a gift of The Circle of the National Gallery of Art (accession number 1993.55.1).
